 Media coverage is the exposure and attention received by a person, brand, event, or topic in various media forms like print, broadcast, and digital platforms. It includes news articles, interviews, features, reviews, and any other form of content that highlights and discusses the subject matter. 

Over the past years, there have been significant changes to mainstream media. Technology has replaced traditional media outlets with social media sites, video-sharing platform, online advertisement, and pop-ups on website. print media is on longer the exclusive domain for consumers.

Media coverage plays an important role during national security and health emergencies, serving as a crucial source of information for the public. During those times news media became a conduit through which the public gains insights into the changing situation and policymakers make informed decisions. News media reporting not only informs public perceptions but also influences policy responses J.Rogers(2023).

However media coverage is a double-edged sword because good media coverage can build a good reputation and bring in more viewers, and bad coverage can damage reputation, lose following and loss in trust from the public.
